A note from the top
2012 Price Increase
The time has come for a price increase. I wanted to take this opportunity to explain the many reasons for the increase, and detail some important changes coming in 2012.
I’m sure you’ve experienced price increases over the past few years. We, too, have experienced these increases in every facet of our business – materials, supplies, labor, taxes, shipping, fuel – you name the cost, it has risen dramatically. While we have worked hard to realize savings in almost any way possible, we refuse to compromise our quality by using inferior or cheap imported materials.
In addition, a number of key suppliers we relied on for years have ceased operation for one reason or another. Declining sales are forcing us to buy in smaller quantities, which also affects cost. We have undergone a massive voluntary restructuring the last 3 years which has involved moving our business and home to more cost conscious locations, and reducing other costs so we can live on less. We have also begun diversifying our product offerings to help offset the cost of reduced production of Imperial Services parts.
We are now in a position where we can confidently state that we are here for the long haul. Rest assured, we will be here making these parts as long as there is a demand.
We are, however, changing the way the parts are marketed. In the coming months, we will be ceasing retail operations and our parts will only be available through dealers – probably your favorite dealers you buy from already. Warehouse Distributors will stock the parts so that they will be available to you or your chosen dealer in days, not weeks as in the past. This move allows us time and resources to continue development of new products as well as grow our other product lines.
In closing, I would like to thank you for your patronage and support the last 15 years. We look forward to supporting your projects and the hobby for many years to come.
Sincerely, Steve Charette
